De-Anodizing Aluminum Parts

This video is the first of many in a new category for us at RC Culture where we will be sharing our RC knowledge and experience. It covers how to remove the anodizing (colors) from aluminum parts. The color on anodized aluminum is chemically bonded and can’t be scratched or peeled off like paint so a special process must be used.

This can be done at home but does mean using somewhat toxic chemicals (drain cleaner) so please make sure you have adequate ventilation and proper supervision.

No sponsorship was received for any of the products mentioned in this video. They were just specified so that you would know what we used.
